Megan was named Executive Director in 2013. She has a Masters of Public Administration in Nonprofit Management and a Bachelors in Family Studies Human Services and Community Service. Megan has worked in the nonprofit sector for over 18 years. She is a certified fundraising professional, graduate of Leadership Lawrence, and she volunteers across the community in a variety of capacities. Her passion has always driven her towards serving those around her to improve their quality of life. In her free time, Megan enjoys spending time with her husband and two young daughters, running, reading, and loves getting to the mountains.
Karen Anderson Troutman
Karen joined Trinity In-Home Care as Finance Manager in June of 2015. Karen comes with many years of experience working for non-profits, particularly on the business side. Karen was Business Manager at the Lawrence Arts Center for many years. After leaving LAC, she become Business and Human Resources Coordinator at Independence, Inc. Recently she worked as bookkeeper at a "for profit" company and as secretary/bookkeeper at St. Paul UCC in Eudora. Karen holds a Bachelor's degree. While employed at Independence, Inc., she successfully completed the requirements and testing for SPHR certification. Karen believes her experience in the private sector has helped provide her with a well-rounded perspective in business management.
Karen enjoys cooking--particularly desserts, traveling, music, and watching movies. She and her husband, John, also enjoy visiting their four adult children and two young grandsons.
Caitlin Schmidt, LMSW
Caitlin joined Trinity In-Home Care as Service Coordinator in July of 2014. Caitlin holds a Masters of Social Welfare in Clinical Social Work and a Bachelors of Social Welfare from University of Kansas. She has been active in the social work field for over 6 years and licensed at the Master's level since 2013. Caitlin has worked mainly in geriatrics or mental health settings. Before joining Trinity In-Home Care, she worked at Meals on Wheels, Brandon Woods, and the Topeka VA Inpatient Geropsychiatry unit (for older adults with mental illness or severe dementia). She has co-facilitated a caregiver's support group with those caring for stroke survivors. She is passionate about helping clients maintain their independence and live where they choose as long as possible.
Client Service Administrator
John joined Trinity In-Home Care in 2015. He brings vast experience with both non-profit agencies and business to the team. Additionally, John was a caregiver for his mother, giving him the personal experience which our clients and DSPs will appreciate. John enjoys reading, music and handyman projects.
Janet began her volunteer experience with Trinity In-Home Care in July of 2013. Janet is the friendly face and voice that greets all our callers and guests. We are so grateful to her for all her hard work and for helping everyone feel so welcome at TIHC!
